LA - NGA New Division 4x4 Co-ed
4x4 Level 1,2,and 3 open division
- Open to both Men and Women
- Events: Vault, Bar, Mushroom, Floor
- Music isn't required on floor
- Routines are short and simple
- At State Championships, athletes are allowed to compete in their current division as well as in the 4x4 division.
4x4 co-ed division rules
Equipment:
Vault resi, aero board, 40 ft tumble strip or full floor, bar or high bar, floor mushroom
A note for judging
- All routines start at a 10.0
- .1 stick bonus should be awarded for all dismounts
- .1 May be awarded for virtuosity at judge’s discretion once / routine.
- While a gymnast may start at a 10.1 or a 10.2, a 10.0 is the max score allowed.
- Deductions are as follows:
- .1 small error
- .2 medium error
- .3 large error
- .5 fall or missing skill
- No deductions for up to 3 added swings or any added skills except for execution.
- Angle and hold requirements are noted in the list of skills. Deductions are as follows:
- .1 short hold (less than 2 seconds)
- .3 no hold at all
- Small, medium or large deviations from required angle.

Floor
- Forward roll
- Jump 1/2
- Back roll
- Candlestick
- Tuck jump
- Cartwheel step in jump
Pommels
- 1/4 circle (straight arch or hollow body allowed)
- 3/4 circle straight arch or hollow body allowed)
Vault
- Run hurdle straight jump to 32”resi
- Kick handstand flat back
Bars
- Hang 1/2 turn
- Toes to bar 2s hold
- Pull up 2s hold
- Swing
- Swing 1/2 turn (or hop)
- Swing drop
4x4 Level 2
Floor
- Forward roll
- Jump 1/2
- Back roll
- Candlestick
- Straddle stand press headstand roll out
- No hold required on headstand
- (straight arch or hollow body allowed)
- Round off jump
Pommels
- 1 and 1/2 circle (straight arch or hollow body allowed)
Vault
- Run hurdle jump to handstand flat back 32”resi
Bars
- Toes 2 bar 2s hold
- Pull over (assistance allowed)
- Cast horizontal
- Undershoot
